Byngham! Sweet, deserving Pembroke Welsh Corgi – such a doll! Congrats to Byngham and his people. Thanks to everyone who participated. I was overwhelmed by your response! If your pet didn’t win, stay tuned for a sneak peek of Byngham’s session, and my June special!
It seems a bit fishy that Byngham jumped 20% in a few short hours. Oh well, karma will surely catch up to those who have to resort to cheating at a friendly contest.
I did speak to the winner’s person, and I believe all to be on the up and up. While I’m certainly no computer genius (!), the poll was set so you could only vote one time for your pet per computer (I had complaints about this, so I know it worked!). It does appear to have been an Hurculean effort, enlisting the support of family, friends, workmates and breed specific groups to win, as the much-loved dog in question has cancer and only a few months to live. They wanted photos before the cancer affects his behavior and looks, and are paying on considerable vet bills, so there’s motivation. I am quite sure there are ways around it, but am not tech-savvy enough to know what they are. I certainly hope people were able to have some fun with what was intended, as you say, to be a friendly contest, and am humbled by the number of people who took the time to vote, that totally makes it worthwhile.
