National Cat Day | Kitsap County Pet Photographer | Four Foot Photography

Aha! Where are my feline-loving friends?! Today is National Cat Day, so I present a collage of some of my favorite kitteh pictures over the years. My own is among them – at just over 20 years old (but who is counting?) she is kind of loud and kind of gross, but I have lived with her longer than my husband, longer than my parents, she has outlived her share of dogs, and earned her queen status around here. Luckily, my husband is extremely patient and tolerant {because I am not even kidding about the gross}. Love you Jasmine.

Often I utilize a photo-ninja-sniper process with cats, so it tends to be more lifestyle, documentary photography, but can be really cool. Many of the cats in these images are rescues, and for most I was there to photograph the dogs, but I highly encourage you to photograph your cats as well, their personalities are so STRONG. Love it!

  1. These are lovely cat portriats! I’m always shooting my cats, but will have to make a special point to capture them today to celebrate. Thanks for sharing! And 20?!? I hope my kitties are with us for so long.

    • Thanks, Nicole. Maybe slightly less than 20 years would be good. I said “kinda gross,” but let’s just say I will be getting a new mattress and flooring once she crosses over. My husband says she will outlive us all!
