Why I do what I do…

If this isn’t what it’s all about, I don’t know what is.

I love, love the connection this sweet girl has with her momma. She is getting older, and lost her sister last year, so mom felt it was important, even in the midst of major life chaos right now, to get some photos.

I think this is my new favorite picture.

Teeah’s Float Wrap Is Up!

Teeah’s float wrap, won at Tender Touch Animal Hospital’s Open House in a raffle to benefit the Humane Society, is finished and hung! Please stop by and see it in person at 27099 Miller Bay Road NE, Ste C in Kingston. I could not have asked for a better model or met nicer people!

FFP’s New Logo!

Here is my new logo!  I have been working to create a logo that embodies the spirit of my business, and here is the final result:

My hope is that it conveys the enthusiasm I have for what I do and my love for all of your critters, clawed, pawed and hooved. It is my great pleasure to photograph so many well loved furbabies and record their relevance to our daily lives. I love hearing you tell their stories and am honored to be a small part of your lives. Thank you for supporting my dream job!

Halley Update

If you’ve been following the blog for the past few months (thank you!), you may remember Halley, the stray kitty that stole my friend’s heart, only to be diagnosed as terminal. (Link to earlier post: http://wp.me/p1pNKn-cP) Here’s a happy update – Halley is currently 7 weeks past when the vet said she would be leaving, and looking remarkably healthy. She has become increasingly trusting and affectionate, and I just had to go back to get a few more pictures! Now that it has gotten colder, she is sleeping indoors, and living her last days to the hilt – go Halley!

Meet the superdogs…Bruce and Lois!

Aren’t they fabulous? Click on the image to make it larger.

Teeah!

Teeah was the winner of the Pet Photography session raffled off by the wonderful staff of Tender Touch Animal Hospital during their open house event August 20th to benefit the Humane Society. Her mom painstakingly filled out (at least 20) raffle tickets and entered them…Here is a sneak peek at the results! As you can see, Teeah is a polished model, maintaining her figure with plenty of walks and the occasional carrot indulgence. Her parents have twin human grandchildren, and Teeah LOVES to play ball with them. The result of a Capulet/Montague-esque meeting, Teeah is half Scotty and half Cairns, but all terrier! She is such a delight, I hope her breeder allows further breeches of security! Included in her prize, Teeah wins an 11 x 14 float wrap, which will be displayed at Tender Touch (27099 Miller Bay Rd NE, Ste C, Kingston) for 1 year, and then will go home with Teeah and her parents, Honey and Sweetheart (!).  I can’t wait to see which one is selected!

New Display!

On Friday I changed the display at Woodside Animal Hospital to feature Dahlia! The center is a canvas like last time, but on either side (with the ribbons) are metal prints, a new product I am so excited to offer! They are available in standard sizes or 30 different cutout shapes (displayed are #25 and #29)! Made from recycled aluminum, the image is burned on to the metal – extremely cool!  We can custom order images of your pets in the sizes and shapes you choose – I also think they’ll look great with the float wraps for a unique wall display. They can be hung from drilled holes as shown, or we can attach a float mount to the back so the image appears to “float” on the wall. Did I mention I’m SO EXCITED?! I will have information on the website in the next few weeks – it’s not too early to be thinking about Christmas…Stop by Woodside to see them in person!
