Kitsap Humane Society PetsWalk 2015 ~ Kitsap County Pet Photographer, Four Foot Photography

This is my fifth consecutive year attending PetsWalk as a vendor, and it just keeps getting better! Like last year, PetsWalk was held at the Poulsbo waterfront. There was a wonderful turnout of dogs and their people and a bird! … Continue reading

PAWS of Bainbridge Island Wagfest 2014 ~ Kitsap County Photographer ~ Four Foot Photography

Sunday, September 7th was a gorgeous, sunny, end-of-summer kind of day. I was lucky enough to spend it with the kind people of PAWS of Bainbridge Island and North Kitsap, celebrating all things canine. WAGFEST is an annual fund raising walk/run and vendor fair, held in Bainbridge Island’s Battle Point Park. There were contests, educational talks, bands, food and lots of fun! I am including waaaay too many images, but some of the little dog races are just so much fun…Check out Pickles photobombing the next heat in the race!

Click on the images to enlarge. Thank you so much to everyone who came out to support PAWS of Bainbridge’s excellent work. I look forward to next year!

Teeah!

Teeah was the winner of the Pet Photography session raffled off by the wonderful staff of Tender Touch Animal Hospital during their open house event August 20th to benefit the Humane Society. Her mom painstakingly filled out (at least 20) raffle tickets and entered them…Here is a sneak peek at the results! As you can see, Teeah is a polished model, maintaining her figure with plenty of walks and the occasional carrot indulgence. Her parents have twin human grandchildren, and Teeah LOVES to play ball with them. The result of a Capulet/Montague-esque meeting, Teeah is half Scotty and half Cairns, but all terrier! She is such a delight, I hope her breeder allows further breeches of security! Included in her prize, Teeah wins an 11 x 14 float wrap, which will be displayed at Tender Touch (27099 Miller Bay Rd NE, Ste C, Kingston) for 1 year, and then will go home with Teeah and her parents, Honey and Sweetheart (!).  I can’t wait to see which one is selected!

Dudley and Mops’ Session is Up!

My work here is done – now it falls to Mops & Dudley’s parents to choose their favorite images from the session they won at PAWS Wagfest 2011. Better them than me! It’s hard to pick a favorite – this is one of mine. Feel free to chime in – what’s yours?

Dudley & Mops – Paws Wagfest 2011 Contest Winners!

Here is a sneak peek from my session with Dudley and Mops, the winners of FourFootPhotography’s Paws Wagfest 2011 Photo Contest! While I had to wait for my supermodels to return from their Mexican vacation for our shoot, it was soooo worth the wait, I think you’ll agree! They came back tan (especially Mops), refreshed and, ahem, ready for their close-ups. Far from being a diva, Mops patiently showed Dudley (the fawn), who is only 6 months old, the ropes. He is obviously both a natural and a quick study. Supermodels just keep getting younger and younger! For those of you who know me personally, how much fun was it for me to get my pug on?!

Prancer & Tommie Meet The Pawpurrazzi!

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

I have to admit, I LOVE a challenge! I firmly believe the only way to learn and grow is to push yourself. When I met Prancer’s mom at Wagfest, she said, “You won’t get a picture of my dog. He won’t look at a camera.” Well, quite frankly, a lot of people say that, but she does have a case! Prancer is a darling, sweet little guy. Not oppositional at all – until you pull out a camera! He was NOT going to do it, but I hope you’ll agree, we convinced him. He actually went a little “Vogue” on us in the end. His cousin, Tommie Tequila, is a rescued greyhound, and extraordinarily shy. He is one lucky dog – his mom works with a rescue group and fosters other dogs. Aren’t they beautiful? I had such a lovely time with them, their moms, and THEIR mom. I love my job.

The voting continues…

Great job with the voting – thanks everyone for the nice comments – the dogs are all just so adorable! I just posted an album of “Out Takes” on my Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.205683462785444.48484.205683229452134#!/pages/FourFootPhotography/205683229452134

Wagfest 2011 Photo Contest

Thanks for your patience, everyone! Here is the pet photo contest from Wagfest 2011! Aren’t the models gorgeous? Please vote one time (per day) for your favorite, then share the link with your friends, co-workers, relatives! The dog with the most votes on Sunday, July 3 at 10pm wins a free photo session ($125 value) and $40 print credit from FourFootPhotography! The lighting was a little tricky and these are unedited “mutt shots” of very distracted dogs – but you get the idea – So. Stinkin. Cute. Please let me know if I messed up any names, we’ll fix it right away! Thanks so much to everyone who came by and entered, I’m excited to see who wins!
